The In-Check DIAL G16 is an inhaler technique training and assessment tool. It is a hand held inspiratory flow measurement device with a dial top. The DIAL orifices are designed to simulate the resistance of inhaler devices from the DPI and MDI categories and enables clinicians to train patients to use more or less inspiratory force, to achieve their optimal flow rate with a particular MDI or DPI device. The disposable inspiratory one-way valve, single patient use mouthpieces are designed to provide protection against possible cross-infection in respiratory procedures, specifically in inspiratory procedures. The patient can inhale freely on the In-Check or In-Check DIAL and the one-way valve prevents exhalation into the meter. The high-quality mouthpieces have a non-absorbent finish which does not stick to lips and provides less irritation and greater comfort. The In-Check DIAL is a hand held low range inspiratory flow measurement device with a dial top. People living with Asthma, COPD or other lung diseases may be using Dry Powder Inhalers, Pressurized Metered Dose Inhalers or Nebulizers to breathe in medication. The DIAL can be adjusted to accurately simulate the resistance of popular inhaler devices which include MDI® and DPI® such as Turbuhaler®, Flexhaler®, Twisthaler®, Aerolizer®, Handihaler®, Diskus®, Ellipta® and Pressair® among others. The In-Check DIAL enables clinicians to train patients to the proper inspiratory technique considering force and flow rate to achieve optimal deposition of the medication being inhaled into the lungs. The DIAL G16 now categorizes inhalers by resistance and the newly designed scale gives proper feedback on all efforts.
