Each uncuffed neonatal/pediatric tracheal tube is fitted with a standard 15 mm ISO connector with sideport. The sideport facilitates easy access for administration of surfactant, airway pressure monitoring, and gas sampling. The tubes are made of soft PVC with a smooth beveled tip for atraumatic intubation and have markings, plus a vocal cord guide, that aid in proper placement.
