Heel Lancets

Neoheel™ Safety Lancets are indicated to collect quality blood samples from neonates, infants, and toddlers for metabolic screening along with glucose and other tests. The lancets feature automatic retraction designed to avoid needlestick injuries and cross-contamination exposure. The safety lancet produces less bruising and requires less punctures to obtain enough volumes of blood. The arc shaped design of the lancet reduces the number of heel puncture sites, test completion time, and time the baby cries. The integral safety tab prevents premature activation while avoiding additional loose parts. Neoheel™ is available in four configurations which are based on the baby’s development level: Micro-Preemie, Preemie, Newborn, Toddler. Tenderfoot® heelstick device produces an incision to a carefully controlled depth that is just above where most nerve fibers are located, but through the rich capillary bed. Result is a high quality blood sample with significantly less pain and trauma to a baby’s tender skin. Once blade is triggered, it retracts permanently back into the device. Accidental sticks are eliminated. Need for repeat sticks are virtually eliminated since each device is carefully controlled to produce an incision at a standardized length and depth. Case is pink and blue. * Preemie: Designed for low birth weight newborns. * Newborn: Designed for newborns birth to 3-6 months. * Toddler: Designed for 6-month to 2-year-old toddlers.
